In my last post: My View on The Law of Attraction – Including Pro/Cons Lists, I discussed The Law of Attraction in great detail. Thinking about The Law of Attraction was useful in terms of me developing some wishes and goals for my life. Here they are, some may not appear to be realistic, but The Law of Attraction encourages you to think and feel big, so that’s exactly what I’ve done here:

Health:

  1. My Diabetes is in perfect control.
  2. I sleep well. I have plenty of energy.
  3. I’m healthy and happy.
  4. I relax regularly.
  5. I always have plenty of food available to me.

Money:

  1. I have millions of pounds in the bank.
  2. I am financially secure and prosperous.
  3. I have active subscriptions to Disney+, Amazon Prime, Amazon Music and Netflix.

Home:

  1. I own a home with a garage and garden.
  2. I always feel safe and love at home.
  3. I live near Rivington.
  4. My home is always clean and tidy. I have a cleaner that helps with this.

Career:

  1. I spend my days writing books, blog posts and articles, working 7am to 3pm, Monday to Wednesday (3 days a week).
  2. I spend one day a week (Thursday) doing addiction counselling.

Social / Romantic Relationships:

  1. I have a secure and happy relationship with a handsome, kind and funny man. I marry this man.
  2. My family, friends and husband are happy and supportive of me.
  3. I regularly do fun things with family, friends and my husband including: theatre trips, music gigs and comedy shows.
  4. I go on holiday twice a year, one holiday in the UK and one holiday abroad. Both holidays are enjoyable, places of beauty with lots of fun things to do.

Spirituality:

  1. I feel connected to the universe.
  2. All of my spells are successful.

My Royal Navy Friend – OUT NOW!

By Amazon, Books & Authors, CreativityNo Comments

My new book has been released early today. I decided to treat you in the cold, dark and skint month of January.

So what’s it all-about:

My dear friend Roy decided to follow in his family’s footsteps and enlist in the Royal Navy.

I wanted to maintain our friendship, to continue to support Roy, to make him laugh and to entertain him. So I came up with the idea of sending him a weekly email on random topics.
These emails were on a variety of topics, always being entertaining, sometimes being interesting, sometimes funny and occasionally being serious.

Topics included: Jokes, Puzzles, Inspirational Quotes, Future Technology to Be Excited About, How to Fight A Shark, How to Woo A Turtle, Some of the Most Amazing Jobs in the World, Facts About Castles, Do Aliens Exist?, The Kindest Humans, A List of Cakes, 13 Weird Body Facts, 20 Super Space Facts, Ancient Egyptian Curses, 10 Weird Olympic Games, The Great Emu War of 1932, Quiz: Flags of the World, Legendary Characters from the UK and others.

My Royal Navy Friend is a copy of these emails. In total, there are 52 emails. Dispersed throughout the book are also Royal Navy facts and stories.

Antony Simpson, author, said:
My Royal Navy Friend is my best work to date. I’m exceptionally proud of My Royal Navy Friend. You’ll laugh, be entertained and learn some fascinating facts.”

Transfering Hosting from IONOS to Fasthosts

By Creativity, Technology, The WebNo Comments

I recently departed company with IONOS, after being a loyal customer for years. Here is why I left this hosting provider:

  • Their SPAM blocking features in email were rubbish. They blocked people that I regularly email, yet didn’t block clearly SPAM and potentially harmful emails.
  • Their WordPress websites were slow and full of bloatware.
  • They started adding things (at a considerable cost) to my contract, without my permission or at least a discussion. For example, they added PHP Extended Support.
  • They kept changing billing amounts and billing dates. This was making it impossible to keep track of my money and led to a couple occasions where they were paid late.
  • Their prices had increased significantly without any explanation.
  • The IONOS account was constantly trying to sell me products, often ones that I wasn’t interested in or weren’t relevant to me.
  • The customer support agents didn’t always call back when they said they would.

Here’s why I choose fasthosts:

  • They’re UK-based (although the Customer Support isn’t always).
  • They offered a money back guarantee.
  • They offered a reduced price initially, which is perfect when trying something new.
  • They offered WordPress specific hosting.
  • They focus on high performance, quick loading websites.
  • They gave all the standard features I needed: email, access and the ability to upload my own files to the server, SSL certificates, daily back up/restore, etc.
  • Their security and protection of my account is second to none.

I can’t lie, the transfer over wasn’t easy. After having a blog and a domain name for such a long time, challenges were to be expected, but at times it felt maddening and frustrating.

Fasthosts backend could be a little bit easier to use, for example I signed up to two additional contracts for email, before sussing out with the help of Customer Support that I already had email as part of my WordPress Hosting Package. It just wasn’t where I would have expected it to be (i.e. under email).

Fasthosts Customer Support have been brilliant at helping me with my teething problems transferring over. But they could enhance their offer to potential customers by offering a managed WordPress transfer.

Only time will tell is fasthosts turns out to be as good as I hope it is. But I’m more than happy at this moment with their service and products.

If you want to sign up to fasthosts use this link. In the interest of full disclosure I get credit on my account for everyone that signs up using this link, through a referral programme.
