Hi Anthony!
Paddy Considine too.
Thank you for my lovely mention.
And on a similar vein, a few people including myself have picked up on the fact that the new character in Casualty – Ruby the paramedic – is on the spectrum. This might be an interesting arc.
Best wishes to you Anthony and thank you for all your research on the subject. As a nurse you have and will no doubt come across patients on the spectrum. I for one find bright lights uncomfortable and some other people on the spectrum do.
Andrea xx
Hi Andrea,
Thanks for the comment. I had to mention who had inspired this blog post series :).
I’ve come across many people on the autistic spectrum, some diagnosed, but more others that are not. I think in terms of being a Nurse, it’s all about communication. Communication with the patient and their family/carers to find out how to best care for them.

*sorry should have ended my last sentence with ‘too’.
It might also be worth noting that I have a close family member with diagnosed dyspraxia. Sometimes the dys conditions run co-morbidly with ASD. xx
Hi Andrea,
I found that really interesting when I was doing my research for this series. That people on the autism spectrum often have overlapping conditions, like dyspraxia. I mentioned it in my first post of the series.

Hi!
Watching video and interviews with Charlie Watt, it had me wondering if he might have had Aspergers/ been on the spectrum?
Hi Ruth,
Thanks for the comment. He might well have been.
