A Weekend ‘Paganing’

By PaganismNo Comments

Well what a weekend it’s been, eh?

For me it’s been a busy one as I have been ‘paganing’. I attended a late Samhain ritual on Saturday, which gave me an opportunity to interact with my local fellow pagans. I was supprised to discover how much I actually knew and for the first time calculated how long I had been a practicing pagan. Over 7 years, wow!

Then today (Sunday) I attended a Healing Festival to show my support for a charity, raising funds to buy a forest.

It was a lovely weekend, that made me contemplate where I go next on my spiritual journey. I hmade a decision to focus on Spirit Communication, Astral Travel & Closening my Connection with the God & Goddess.

In Love and Light ,

Samhain Ritual, goes well

By Life, PaganismNo Comments

As you know Samhain is a pagan’s Christmas and New Year rolled in to one. Simon, Chrys and I had planned to do a group ritual together but it was canceled as Simon had to work (waking nights – awe!).

So David (see attractive stranger, elephant cups & tatton park, a poem posts) and I prepared and completed ritual.

What’s Samhain about?
1. Celebration of a good harvest – Thanking the god, goddess and mother earth for a fruitful harvest.
2. The equinox – Recognising the god’s days are coming to an end as the crone goddess sits on the throne for the winter period. Nature going in to hibernation to sleep out the cold, winter, months.
3. A time of remembrance – Celebrating and remembering the lives of those that have moved on to the astral plane, or above.
3. The veils between the physical and astral are thin – A time to communicate with those that inhabit the astral plane or travel there (via astral travel).

The ritual went well with both David and I inputting in to the planning and execution of it.

Write soon,

Antony

Reiki one – Qualified

By Life, PaganismNo Comments

I am pleased to announce I am now Reiki One qualified. I shall be looking for opportunities to practice what I have learned. Most of the course content I already knew (charka system, drawing down energy from the universe, etc.) however there was a number of things I also learnt (history of reiki, hand positions, etc.).

There was a focus on an exchange for Reiki which I found most interesting. So if someone asks for reiki they need to give something in exchange (wheather it be money, a gift, or a service). This way the person values the reiki given and it supports me in my time.

There has been talk about going on to Reiki 2, but I shall wait. The cards I have picked up as part of one of the exercises on the course have talked about change and new beginnings. So I wish to get my life a little bit more settled before considering Reiki 2. In addition to this, I am required to do three months practice prior to progression on the next degree.

Keeping you informed,

Antony

Reiki at the weekend

By Life, PaganismNo Comments

I am looking forward to my level 1 Reiki course at the weekend. Taught by a forma lecturer at university in complementary therapies. To get a head start (like I need one…ha…ha), here are some video’s I’ve watched on YouTube:

This one is about what Reiki is. I think the woman maybe quite knowledgeable. The bloke, who doesn’t seem to know that much (and whitters) unfortunatley does most of the talking. Antony Rating: 2 / 10.

This american woman gives a lot of knowledge about reiki and you see her practicing. However she does mention the 5th and 7th charka’s, which people new to reiki and the charka system may not be aware of.

As it’s late and I need to go to bed – I’ll add more soon. And I will let you know how the course goes.
