A Long FANTASTIC Bank Holiday Weekend

By Friends & Family, Happiness & Joy, Pets4 Comments

What a fantastic weekend it’s been!

Friday I saw my friend Simon, had a brew and a long overdue catch up.

Saturday some new tables arrived. I’d bought some gorgeous small tempered black glass ones to replace the chunky wooden ones I had. This made room for the kitten climbing centres I bought. Shaun (my long lost brother, blog post coming soon to explain, promise) came round and helped me build them. Bless him, he had only come round for a brew. We had a good day, just talking and building the tables. It was ace to spend some brotherly bonding time together.

Sunday I went seeing the kittens. Oh how big they’ve gotten in three weeks! And they’ve now got names! Of course, I’ve got photos for you:

(Dylan saying hello)
(Russell chilling)
(The boys playing together)
(Me bonding with Dylan, letting him smell me)
(A kittens work is never done! Dylan found some news paper to shred!)

Today (Monday) I went out for a drive with my good friend JB. We went to a nice country pub for lunch in his flashy Honda S2000 Yellow Convertible. Then we headed to one of my favourite places for ice cream:

Hope you had an equally fantastic bank holiday, roll on the next one!

Take care,

Antony

Following on from the Weekend

By Life, Love & RelationshipsNo Comments

Following on from the Weekend (see A Weekend Away, Up North – Adventure 1) E and I have been in touch quite a bit. When I asked him about this weekend, he said he was unavailable.

E said that he couldn’t commit to any sort of relationship right now because of stuff (I have more details than just “Stuff” but that’s his private info that I’d never publish). A few more messages where exchanged as I was really confused at one point. I managed to establish that he likes me and he wants to keep in contact. I think perhaps as well as the stuff going on there’s fear?

Fear of being hurt, the safer option to avoid/run away from anything that could hurt you. I geninually think that he likes me as much as I like him. So I’ve left it open, I’ve basically said: I still like you. I want to continue to get to know you. I am happy to message/speak on the telephone but I’d also like at some point to see you in person again.

Any advice? It’s always welcome and listened too.

The weekend and ‘I kissed a boy’ video

By Love & Relationships, Music & RadioNo Comments

Hi All,

I have had a wonderful Friday evening and Saturday day with my boyfriend David. Friday started after work in the evening with celebratory drinks, celebrating his birthday. A good time was had by all (hopefully I may have a photo to show you David soon!).

Saturday we spent a lot of time talking which I have come to realise is vitally important in any relationship. Clear communication is important. I am lucky enough that generally David and I are excellent communicators, not to say we don’t have the odd misunderstanding. I must admit that when I got home on Saturday evening to do my application form (see Good & Bad news) I missed him.

On an unrelated topic there has been a song constantly played on Radio 1 called ‘I kissed a girl’. I have heard that some reports in the media claim the female artist is trying to cash in on lesbianism. I have tried to keep away from these media reports for one reason: the song is crap, repetitive and boring! However, I did hear on radio 1 that on YouTube that there is a video of a ‘I kissed a boy’ version sung by males. I could not resist checking it out and bloging about it. Here’s the video:

The video is unfortuately just an image of the all male band. It is obiously a cheap ploy to get famous or make a name for themselves. But it was extremely refreshing to hear a song about a boy kissing another boy in this hetrosexual world we live in.

Blog soon my friends,

Antony
