A Long FANTASTIC Bank Holiday Weekend

By Friends & Family, Happiness & Joy, Pets4 Comments

What a fantastic weekend it’s been!

Friday I saw my friend Simon, had a brew and a long overdue catch up.

Saturday some new tables arrived. I’d bought some gorgeous small tempered black glass ones to replace the chunky wooden ones I had. This made room for the kitten climbing centres I bought. Shaun (my long lost brother, blog post coming soon to explain, promise) came round and helped me build them. Bless him, he had only come round for a brew. We had a good day, just talking and building the tables. It was ace to spend some brotherly bonding time together.

Sunday I went seeing the kittens. Oh how big they’ve gotten in three weeks! And they’ve now got names! Of course, I’ve got photos for you:

(Dylan saying hello)
(Russell chilling)
(The boys playing together)
(Me bonding with Dylan, letting him smell me)
(A kittens work is never done! Dylan found some news paper to shred!)

Today (Monday) I went out for a drive with my good friend JB. We went to a nice country pub for lunch in his flashy Honda S2000 Yellow Convertible. Then we headed to one of my favourite places for ice cream:

Hope you had an equally fantastic bank holiday, roll on the next one!

Take care,

Antony

An evening of romance

By Love & Relationships2 Comments

A lovely evening of romance was had with JB. Earlier in the afternoon we had gone watching Avatar, bless him I think he only went watching it because I really wanted to see it. It was ace, but I’ll hopefully blog a review another time (if I get chance!).

As JB pottered around the kitchen while I got to enjoy the wine he’d brought. He’d brought wine, all the food and Christmas presents for me all in a big brown box that he had to keep me away from. It was like a game of cat and mouse at one point as I tried to discover what was actually in the box. Then he turned to me and said: “I need you to go in the bathroom.”
“But I don’t need to go.” I responded.
“Just trust me and go and wait in there for 2 minutes.” He said eyes widening as if to say – just go with it.

After a few minutes I am realised from the bathroom to find a lighted candle, two places set on the breakfast bar and some crackers. He encouraged me to pull one, so I did. Inside the usual golden hat, bad joke and then rather unusally a slip of paper. JB reveals that my presents are hidden throughout the apartment and that each cracker contains a clue to where they are.

An evening of eating good food, present hunting, drinking wine and good company followed. We talked about all sorts. Although the evening got to a point were I was ready for bed (let’s just say I hadn’t realised how strong the wine was) and he went to bed in the guest room. Now that is impressive for a gay man to be happy to go to all that effort and not try it on.

I know what your thinking Spoilt and your right. But in my defence, I did do the cleaning afterwards.

Write soon,

Antony

Gravey

By Friends & Family, Love & RelationshipsNo Comments

The other Sunday JB and I arranged to go for Sunday dinner. He wanted pizza (or some pasta thingy) and I wanted a traditional Sunday carvery. I stated over text that we could negotiate (meaning I wanted my own way). JB being clever and diplomatic that he is, let me have my own way! So off we went for a drive and found a nice carvery in the countryside (at least it had green things sprouting out of the ground anyway).

We had a lovely dinner although I did have an overspill of the gravy as I’d put too much on lol. It was a lovely day and on our return I had a brew at his before setting off home. I think I have started to breakdown some of the internal barriers towards him and started to become quite open about exploring what could develop between us.

That’s all for now,

Antony

Tastilious Food with a BUT…

By Friends & Family, Love & RelationshipsOne Comment

JB came round the other night and cooked me an absoluately delious, tastilious meal. We had Chicken, Potatoes, Veg, nicely covered with gravey. The meal was great as was the conversation. After the meal we sat on the couch with a brew chatting, he put his hand on my leg. I felt uncomfortable, but tried not to show it.

We had a good time reading to one another off the internet and exchanging views on a variety of topics. (You know what I’m like, I’ll share my views to anyone that’ll listen!)

He left late, but before he departed he leaned in to kiss me. I responded by leaning it towards his cheek, but he moved his lips to mine. Another uncomfortable moment. I can not explain where this uncomfortableness came from, all I know is that’s how I felt.

Sigh. I know I am lucky to have the attention of a man especially one that’s good looking, has a good dress sense and can hold a conversation.

But, I dunno. You can’t help how you feel can you? If only we could control our feelings.

What makes it worse is that he’s been texting me loads and quite some future orintated stuff. As if we were a couple. Something boy friends would text to one another. I don’t feel we are that close. Sigh. I have text him back telling to slow down, but as Mike commented on Cards on the table I do feel pressured. I’ve told him this too.

What to do? I guess, let it flow for a while.

Write soon,
