This weekend I went to see Russell Howard in Bolton. He was very funny, has a wonderful imagination and is highly intelligent. His tour called ‘Dingledodies’ will soon be released on DVD and it is a purchase I highly recommend. You can pre-order it at Amazon below:

Campness
I know from time to time, I can be a little camp. Ok, a lot camp at times. So it is only natural that the camp gay man inside of me loves the new girls aloud song ‘Promises’. Here’s the video off YouTube:

Heating
I am pleased to announce I have heating again! Yes the boiler packed up on Saturday leaving me and my house mates with out Heating or Hot Water! So happy to have it back, it makes me appreciate it more.

Samhain Ritual, goes well

As you know Samhain is a pagan’s Christmas and New Year rolled in to one. Simon, Chrys and I had planned to do a group ritual together but it was canceled as Simon had to work (waking nights – awe!).

So David (see attractive stranger, elephant cups & tatton park, a poem posts) and I prepared and completed ritual.

What’s Samhain about?
1. Celebration of a good harvest – Thanking the god, goddess and mother earth for a fruitful harvest.
2. The equinox – Recognising the god’s days are coming to an end as the crone goddess sits on the throne for the winter period. Nature going in to hibernation to sleep out the cold, winter, months.
3. A time of remembrance – Celebrating and remembering the lives of those that have moved on to the astral plane, or above.
3. The veils between the physical and astral are thin – A time to communicate with those that inhabit the astral plane or travel there (via astral travel).

The ritual went well with both David and I inputting in to the planning and execution of it.

Beautiful me & beautiful things

I have been made beautiful again by the wonderful hair dressers. I haven’t had my hair cut for about two and a half months and was beginning to look like cousin IT out of the Adams Family. Look at my lovely new hair:

I have been having a really relaxed week off so far. The dreaded styes (see A mad week!) I have been given anti biotics for but also diagnosed that I have a small cyst in one of them. I shall be seeing a specialist about them shortley.

But back to all things beautiful… I have also purchased this beautiful stone oil burner from Shared Earth. I have had to put a full size image here to show it’s true beauty:

An Update on the David Situation
We where lucky enough to see each other last night. We have discussed somethings, but are still unclear on the future. We shall hopefully spend some more time together at the weekend.
