A mad week!

By Gay, Gigs & Shows, Health, Life, Love & Relationships, Music & RadioNo Comments

Hello All,

What a mad week it’s bin, eh? Here’s how my week has been:

Monday – worked all day and evening.

Tuesday – Worked till 2pm taking flexi for working the evening yesterday. Sye (see Sye’s blog) and I went to see Dylan Moran. Dylan was very funny, although I couldn’t relax as I knew I have my job on Wednesday (see Good & Bad news). Dylan didn’t like the use of camera’s but I managed to get a few pics:

Wednesday – I had my interview in the morning. I didn’t feel confident going in to the interview and felt like I waffled my way through the presentation and interview that followed. I got the inital call after I had just asked a question in class and had to call my manager back.

It was either going to be an offer of permanent employment or not. I was apparently the best applicant (despite that I felt I stumbled through it), and was offered the job. I accepted the offer.

With all the adrenaline from Wednesday I didn’t sleep well through the night.

Thursday – I woke up with styes on my eyes and feeling nackered. Usually I work Thursday evenings, but it was cancled. So I made an important decision to stay in an open a bottle of white wine. I was feeling a bit deflated and a little in need of a good laugh, so I went on YouTube. This is oneof the videos below made me laugh aloud:

Happy Watching!

Friday – Was a day at work. In the evening, I just chilled out. I needed it. It has been a odd week.

Plans for Saturday & Sunday – Well today (Saturday) I intend to visit my mum (she’s cooking sunday dinner!). I had planned to see David but….

The David Situation
We really haven’t communicated this week on both sides. A few text messages & no calls. I was accused of ignoring his text last night (I was alseep). And apparently I have cut him off this entire week. It has been a mad week, and maybe I have cut him off. But that’s the way I needed to be to deal with this mamoth week. I have done nothing wrong. I am quite angry at him for his accusation that it is ‘my fault’ as communication is a two way thing.

I think maybe he want’s too much off me. Perhaps I can’t give him what he needs? Perhaps I am too independant? As he would say ‘Who knows?’.

I am thankful for the good times we have shared (such as Tatton Park), but don’t know what the future holds or if indeed there is one.

I have altered the mini poll so it is on rotate. So get voting to have your say on my site:

I also recieved an email this week from Amazon stating they have reduced their minimum order for free delivery to £5 from £15, so it’s the perfect time to begin your online christmas shopping. If you use the links on this site, I also get commision.

Coming up on the website:

  • Paganism – Recommended Reading page, finally done.
  • Something added to the projects page.

Elephant cups…and more news!

By Gay, Gigs & Shows, Life, Love & Relationships2 Comments

I have been seeing more of the attractive stranger, also known as David recently. Quite some weeks ago we went in to a shop called Shared Earth in Manchester. It’s an ethnic shop, filled with bright mutli-coloured objects, usually that are hand made and fair trade. I made a comment about liking some Elephant cups that I saw.

They where two cups in a pair that had their arms out hugging. David must have took this comment on board, as a few weeks later he bought me a suprise:

Elephant Cups

Awwe, they are sooo cute! Thank you soo much David.

Thanks to the attractive stranger

Normally I do not drink as I am driving, but my friend Mr. James had invited me to stay over for his house party on Friday. I drank horrenous ammonts of vodka in the house party before people decided to head out to a club.

I was swaying as I entered the club, god only knows why they let me in! Once in, I continued to drink. Everyone was having a fantastic time but Mr. James wasn’t there and I decided that I’d had enough and would go to James. I let people know and left the club.

Once outside I closed one eye to try and get the buildings in focus to work out my route to the bed for the night. I was followed out by a member of the group, an attractive stranger.

I would like to thank this attractive stranger for getting me to James safely. With out him, I am unsure if I would have made it there. I got the attractive strangers telephone number in the morning and thanked him.

Although I will not disclose the conversations that we had when we got back, or how they effected me, the point is that they did. I shall say nothing further at present but keep you informed on any updates with this stranger.

I went watching Kylie’s X2008 Tour in Manchester on the Saturday. I will be posting images and one or two videos shortly. But in the mean time a taster:

Lady Boys of Bangkok Amazing, updates!

By Adventures, Friends & Family, Gay, Gigs & Shows, Happiness & JoyNo Comments

Lady Boys of Bangkok. I would like to thank them for putting on a brilliant show. The show consisted of incredable costumes and make up along with good miming. I have watched their show for the last three years now, and it keeps getting bigger and better every year! I would highly recommend you go and see it!

I would also like to thank my good friend Steve and his sister Sarah for coming along with me. Sarah and myself have made a pact – for he to come up to Manchester and watch it again next year! Can’t wait.

This weekend, I am watching Kylie with my mum and Steve.

Updates Wise:

I have been working on the adventures blog entry for my recent road trip. Here’s is a video of Kay and myself giving you a grand tour of the room we stayed in at the Caladonian Backpakers in Edinburgh:
