Mum, Heroin & Me – C4 Documentary

By Thinking, TV, Online Streaming & FilmsNo Comments

Last night I watched a documentary on Channel 4 called Mum, Heroin & Me. I seen young people and their families effected by substance misuse.

This documentary showed me the young person’s perspective that I was all to aware of. But it also showed in great detail the effect on the family and particularly the mother. When working on young people sometimes we can focus on them and give less focus to the families which also need support. I was reminded of what families go through listening to this particular mothers experiences.

If you want to see the program it is available on watch again at: www.channel4.com.

Have an ace weekend,

Antony

How exciting (said camply!)!!

Sophie Kinsella writer of the shopaholic series has recently sold the film rights to her books. And on logging on to her site today I have found the trailer. Have a look at this:

I can’t wait to see it in the cinemas! Don’t think it will be David’s sort of film, he’s not as camp as me. (Being the man in the relationship ha ha until he see’s a bug).

Here are the books available on Amazon:

BBC – Amazon Series (Bruce Parry)

By Reviews, TV, Online Streaming & FilmsNo Comments

I have just watched the first episode of the BBC’s Amazon series presented by Bruce Parry on my recordable freeview box . It is absolutely fantastic. I love his humanistic approach, as he gets to know the locals and embraces their culture. He also explores the wider social-economic and political influences on people’s lifes.

I would recommend it to you all. You can view it if you missed it for 7 days on the BBC iPlayer.

With love and respect,

Antony
