wonderful-websites-image This is the seventh blog post in a series titled Wonderful Websites. The first focused on general health and can be read here. The second focused on mental health and mental illness and can be read here. The third post focused on shopping and can be read here.

The fourth focused on money and can be read here. The fifth focused on gigs, shows and theatres and can be read here. The sixth focused on paganism and can be read here.

Here’s Wonderful Websites about gay culture and society:

1. The Gay UK – My number one source of gay news.

2. Gay Star News – My close second source of gay news.

3. Gaydio – A gay radio station that can be listened to in London and Manchester and online.

4. Stonewall – A national charity that campaigns for LGBT rights.

5. The Albert Kennedy Trust – A charity that supports LGBT homeless young people.

6. RUComingOut is a brilliant resource for anyone struggling to come to terms with their sexuality, coming out or thinking about it.

7. GMFA – A gay men’s health charity.

8. LGBT @ BuzzFeed – A news site that has an LGBT section. Has the odd interesting article.

Are there any gay culture and society websites that you think are useful that aren’t on the list? If so leave a comment below and let me know.

In the next post in my Wonderful Websites I will list great TV, Online Streaming & Films websites.

Adam Lambert

By Gay, Music & Radio, The WebNo Comments

Adam Lambert for those of us in the UK who might not know about him is the runner up in American Idol (the American equivilant of xfactor). Tia a fellow blogger has blogged about him on several occasions. Well according to Daily Dose of Queer has caused a storm in America for his raunchy act on The American Music Awards and for kissing another man on television.

Adam Lambert is gay and the words in his song are indeed raunchy, so shouldn’t his act be? See the video of his performance below:

(Edit: Unfortunately the video’s been removed on youtube, but I’ve found it here: http://littleglitterlittleglam.blogspot.com/2009/11/adam-lambert-ama-performance-video-for.html have a loook. I don’t know why people are trying to supress it by claiming copyright.)

I quite like the song, actually. And my rebelious side loves the act and the gay kiss. Time to grow up American audience, we are now in the 21st centry. Would the same reaction of occured if Rihanna did a hetrosexual version of the song and performance? He comments on this performance:

So I’ve decided that I like Adam Lambert, especially with his boundary pushing. What do you think? Leave a comment.

An interesting AIDS Advert

By Gay2 Comments

This blog contains an animation with gay sexual scenes – promoting condom use to fight against AIDS. It is likely to be an educational safe sex health message from some other country.

IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO WATCH A GAY THEMED SEXUAL HEALTH ANIMATION, IT DO NOT CLICK PLAY!!!

(I don’t know how I can make that any clearer than above.)

I don’t know who produced it. But it shows being a gay boy/man growing up and getting hurt (after sex with partners) but him always using a condom. He eventually finds Mr Right and all is happy. It is a lovely video.

I like the message it promotes about being safe with partners. I also like the message about eventually finding Mr Right rather than Mr Right Now.

So Mr Right, I will find you. I know I will.

My love to all,

Antony

Well now they’ve realised a new album Yes (by Petshop Boys) at Amazon. This new song, to me is a grower:

I need to hear a few more tracks before I consider purchasing it. The reason they where played in the gay pubs and clubs is because the band members are gay and the fact that the songs are catchy!

Does anyone know where I can hear more tracks from the album before I buy?

Blog about more music soon,

Antony
