This Weekend & The Cabinet

By Friends & Family, Home, LifeNo Comments

As you are probably aware from my previous post (see David & The Housewarming), I have canceled my housewarming. This ment I needed to make plans for the weekend. So Simon have decided to go to Manchester Minerals.

A few months ago I went with David and I saw this beautiful quartz cluster that was £200. Rather sensibly David suggested that I didn’t really need it and that there were more important things I needed for the apartment (see The Move). He was right. But Simon and I are going back to see if it’s still there, if It is I was meant to be.

Talking about things I want, do you remember The Cabinet? Well it’s been reduced, but it’s still expensive. I can visualise it in my living room. I guess I’ll have to see how much I get paid and really think about if it’s worth the price. I could even hold on to see if they reduce it more but there’s always a risk that they’ll sell out. What do you think I should do?

David & The Housewarming

By Home, Life, Love & Relationships3 Comments

Hi All,

David and I have offically split up. I don’t wish to go in to details (somethings are private).

I have also had to cancel my housewarming due to low numbers able to attend.

I am feeling a bit low over a few different area’s in my life at the moment. I am sure that things will look up and I will be back bloging as my chirpy self.

Blog soon,

The Cabinet

By Home, ShoppingNo Comments

Have you ever had an image of a piece of furniture or other item in your mind before you’ve even seen it?

This was the case with a beautiful cabinet, I had never seen it. But I could describe it, frosted-glass silding doors with metal feet an inside wooden shelf sideboard. It needed to be the right height to fit under my in my living room window. And the reason for the sliding doors is so that I don’t have to move my couch up making the living room look squashed (see The Move).

I randomly typed in to google: frosted glass sideboard.

And I found it! See http://dwell.co.uk/106431. The problem? The price. Well over-priced. I have searched high and low to find this cheaper but I’m struggling.

So if you see my beautiful, cabinet some where, please let me know.

It is weird how I had the cabinet in my head clearly with out ever seeing it.

Write soon,

Antony

The Move

By Happiness & Joy, Home, Life2 Comments

Hi All,

I’m back! The move to the new apartment (see Things are changing…) was on Friday 24th April 09, which coinsided with the evening I was going to see Girls Aloud. I got the keys at half two in the afternoon and soon after had to leave my lovely new place to go to David’s to get ready for Girls Aloud. I will be sharng some Girls Aloud photos from the gig in a blog post soon.

I was lucky to have a full week off work to move and nip to IKEA. Mum came with me to Ikea, all I have to say is: NEVER buy Ikea furniture. It never goes together exactually as it’s suppose too. When you have finally managed to build the piece of furniture (usually after many choice words directed at the inatimate object), you always have left over screws.

I managed to blag David in to building the bookshelf with me. It was suppose to be a bit of fun but was actually quite a stress for us both. He decided to let me build a lovely antique style desk (which I shall be using to do some creative writing – hopefully in the near future). After much stress (and again choice words directed at the inatimate desk) I have managed to build it.

So I think it’s time you saw some pictures? Ok, here you go:

Hall

Living Room & Kitchen

Office & Guest Bedroom
(Also known as ‘the junk room’)

Master Bathroom

Master Bedroom & Ensuite

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my family and friends who have sent cards (and in some cases gifts). You shall all be invited to the house warming, err, when I organise one. (June sounds like a good month.)

I think that’s a good substantial first post-move post.

Coming soon, see photos from the Girls Aloud gig, hear about the dreaded BT (and discover exactually HOW I’m online), laugh at the scape goat, find out what I got up to on my birthday (23 now! I think…), see photos of some of my birthday gifts, find out how domesticated I am (or not as the case may be), find out about The Cabinet!, what happened when David and I adventured on our week off, and sooo much more!

I’m back world, look out!

Antony
