Wireless again thanks to BT

Reading Time: < 1 minute

I had been having some problems with connecting wirelessly to my BT Home Hub. I ended up plugging it in by the wire to the hub and even then it was slow. I emailed BT expecting never to get a response or waiting weeks to get it sorted (which was driving me mad, because I couldn’t write blog posts at my leisure).

BT called me back the following day (I had wrote the email late at night before bed). I missed some of their calls to my mobile as I was at work. And then as soon as I got home my home phone went off. I answered some of the secruity questions and the guy on the phone from BT took control of my computer via the Internet and sorted out my problem in just 10 mins. In the past BT’s customer service hasn’t been good and my past blog posts have reflected this.

So BT:
I’m most impressed. Thanks again for enabling me to blog from my softa.

Youtube Homophobia

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Over a year ago, I posted this video to Youtube:

Then about a week ago, I received an email stating I had comments on the video. I logged on and saw:

It was a reminder that homophobia still exsists in this hertrosexual world.

How would this person react if they met me face to face? Would they hide their homophobia or be verbally and physically abusive? I guess for them it would depend on the setting. I would react in the same way regardless of the setting, I would challenge their homophobia providing it was safe to do so.

My response to him: Yeah, I’m gay, and?

If I were him I would be concerned as to why he was on a video authored by a gay man? Perhaps some internalised homophobia towards himself?

Get a life! I shall be challenging this through Youtube. Not so much for me, but for any gay person that has ever experienced homophobia. If it’s not challenged, it will only continue.

Let you know how I get on with Youtube,

Antony x

Youtube Celebrates

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Youtube

has cause to celebrate as recently (as reported by the Telegraph) has agreed a deal with PRS money in order to be able to host music videos for some well known artists. So in celebration, here’s a videos that previously couldn’t be on Youtube:

Facebook = Too Much Information

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Sometimes people post things on facebook that I’d rather not know. 🙁

Facebook = TMI (too much info.).

A friend of mine, whom I’ve always liked has just posted pictures of his new apartment with his boyfriend. Sigh.

He just doesn’t see how I feel about him or perhaps he doesn’t feel the same. Sigh. Why can’t he see how cool I am (ok, I know I just lost cool points for saying I was cool lol).

Ah well, I guess all I can do is wish him well.

Love and hugs,
