I wanted to echo my friend Mike blog post entitled Boring!

It’s January and works busy. Not much going on apart from plenty reading and watching my Christmas presents (see Haven’t we done well, this year?). I have no doubt that the up and coming next few months have some adventures in store for me (just a feeling I get), so keep checking back for updates. In the mean time I will be writing some more review posts.

Blog soon,

Antony

Goals for 2010

Reading Time: < 1 minute

We are already in 2010 and I know I should have already set my goals, but hey I’ve been busy! So here they are:

Health
1. To get my diabetes under better control by testing my blood sugars at least twice a day.
2. To put on weight. (I know most people want to loose it, but I am 10 stone which is less than I weighed at 15 years old when I was 12 stone)

Education
3. To complete a further two modules towards my degree. (see Back to University)

Creativity
4. To write three short stories.
5. To enter these short stories in Writing Competitions.
6. To read at least fourteen books.
7. To update/tweak/add & remove sections of my website. (as the rest of the site as been poorly maintained since the new site design)

Paganism & Spirituality
8. To host two psychic parties. (see Psychic Party & Home Warming)
9. To buy Astral Projection for Beginners, read it and practice the exercises for more controlled astral projection.
10. Continue to work on invokation of Apollo. (see Apollo)
11. Continue to follow Pagan Festivals.

Financial
12. Save regularly.
13. Pay off an Overdraft.
14. Live more frugally. (see Living Frugally)

Travel
15. Book a holiday to MyKonos and save for it.

So there we are, ambitious plans for the year a head. Guess I better get a move on and start actioning some of these.

Blog soon,

A review of the 2009 Goals I set Myself

Reading Time: 2 minutes

A year ago I wrote myself a list of goals for the year (see Goals for 2009). Some I’ve completed, even exceeded were as some haven’t been met. So let’s have a look shall we?

Health – To Improve my blood sugar control, eat better & be generally healthy.

Well I had a prolonged period of ill health June / July time. I had to see a consultant it was that bad. So I didn’t achieve the “to be generally healthy” goal in 2009.

Financial – To pay off debts (one from last year I didn’t actually manage to do).

Nah not managed to do this either. Probably because I bought an apartment (see The Move

Home – To put together a dream home book and start working towards it.

Actually superseded this one by buying my apartment.

Adventures – To go to Italy for two weeks and explore the culture, places and people that inhabit this land.

Didn’t manage this one. David and I had planned to do this but we couldn’t agree on where in Italy to go. We ultimately decided not to go.

Creative – To do some more candle making (see A Visit to Simon’s) and some creative writing.

Didn’t manage to as much creative stuff as I would of liked, but I did do some.

Be There – To continue to be there for family & friends who I am very lucky to have

Hopefully I achieved this one, guess only they could Judge?

A Magickal Grand Plan
I also completed a A Magickal Grand Plan. So how does this fit in to my yearly goal setting? We the Magickal Grand Plan is like a overall plan of what I want to achieve and the yearly goal setting helps me to get there.

Coming soon, my goals for 2010. 🙂

Haven’t we done well, this year?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Preparations
A few weeks ago I decorated the apartment complete with Christmas tree and lights ready for my first Yule & Christmas in the apartment. See below for photos:

Yule
Yule has become an annual celebration at Chrys. Unfortunately I did not feel well enought to attend. However on the 21st December which is actual Yule (see Pagan Festivals) my body did allow me to do a little more and JL invited me round to her home. It turned out to be a late night as JL, her sister, JL’s mum and I all got talking and enjoyed the flowing conversation. It was truely lovely to be invited down, thanks for having me.

Christmas
Christmas morning and afternoon I spent with my family. Throughout the morning and afternoon I recieved text messages with seasons greetings. I tried to reply to them all, sorry if I missed anyone out. While stiring the gravey mum stated “Haven’t we done well, this year?” To which I smiled and agreed thinking I certainly have.

(The gift’s I’ve recieved this year, plus a few I bought for myself.)

So I’d like to say a MASSIVE THANKYOU to everyone who has been kind enough to buy me a gift this year. With thanks in mind I’d also like to thank Kay and her family.

In the evening Kay invited me down to her house to exchange gifts we had bought one another. Both Kay and her family warmly welcomed me and I had a great time, I was only sorry I had to go so soon.

Hoping you all had a wonderful Yule and Christmas,

Antony
