I’ve recently discovered Etsy. It’s a great site to get some really unique products and gifts. Whilst on my search for Yule presents I came across this Book of Magick by Magickal Dragonfly. I instantly fell in love with it.
It is handmade with locally sourced wood and the finished product is much better than my photos show.
So if you’re looking for a Book of Shadows that will stand the test of time, look no further. Magickal Dragonfly also do a range of products that look awesome. All handmade by a small family run business.
I recently treated myself to a gorgeous Tarot Deck called Ink & Intuition, which is available to buy on Amazon here.
With all the talk of another lockdown and the tier system, for the first time since I can remember, I have done nothing to celebrate Samhain.
Well apart from a self-tarot reading for the next 12 months. Here is what the future has instore for me:
My Self-Tarot Reading (left to right) – The Sun Nov./Dec/Jan 20/21, 3 of Swords Feb/Mar/Apr 21, King of Wands May/Jun/Jul 21, Justice Aug/Sept/Oct.
November, December & January – The Sun, Daylight. Peace. Contentment. Devotion. Work’s rewards. Accomplishment. Joy. Please. Love. Success. Engagement. Team efforts bringing good results.
February, March & April – 3 of Swords, Disruptive forces. Incompatibility. Heartache. Distance. Absence. Alienation. Unrest. Confusion. Delay. Loss of bearings. Loss of moral compass. Resolving a moral dilemma. Victory through right actions. The healing power of pure intentions. No pain, no gain.
May, June & July – King of Wands, Estate owner or manager. Wise. Conscientious. Educated. Pillar of the community. Good mediator. Devoted, loyal. Good conscience.

At a time when the world is in chaos it can be difficult to look forward into the future. Especially as no one knows what it will look like. There’s a feeling of a loss of control over one’s life. But there is hope.
The future is full of infinite possibilities, because it has not yet happened. With this in mind I’ll be making plans to ensure the year ahead is a happy one and one to remember.
I think 2020 will be the year known as what wasn’t, rather than what was. So many of people’s plans have been cancelled. Of course we all understand that it is essential and that keeping safe is the most important thing.
On Wednesday 13th May 20, the UK Government relaxed lockdown. Just in time for my birthday! This meant I could now meet a friend for my birthday, maintaining social distancing and go for a walk in Rivington with them. So the day after, on my birthday, that’s exactly what I did.
It was a lovely walk. The sun was out and was warm. The birds were singing. The stream flowed making a gentle gushing sound. All combined sounded like a nature meditation CD.
The 1975, one of my favourite bands released this song, which I’m absolutely addicted to. I’ve been listening to it on repeat since its release:
While we are self-isolating and only allowed to make essential journeys, I decided to share my favourite blog post for each year that the blog has been online.
2018 – Chester Zoo with Jayne I chose this blog post for the animals. I love animals and it’s always great to see them. I got to spend quality time with my good friend Jayne on this day and the weather was lovely. Plus the post has plenty of photos.
2017 –Causes For Celebration I chose this post because lots of positive things happening to me at the time, including landing my dream job.
2016 –My Thirtieth Birthday I chose this because of a meal with family and friends. It is perhaps the best birthday I’ve ever had. And just look at the cake:
My 30th Birthday Cake: Minion Bob.
2015 –A Celebration of Love: Mum & Ian’s Wedding I chose this post because I have never seen my mum happier than on her Wedding Day and in the relationship she is in with her husband Ian (I call him my Papa). It was truly a special day and one to remember.
2011 – A Long FANTASTIC Bank Holiday Weekend I chose this post as I went to visit two of my bengal cats as kittens and the photos on the post are super cute.
There you have it. I hope you’ve found it as entertaining as I have putting together the list.
Take care and blog soon,
Antony
