So, how did it go?

The question on everybody’s lips at work was “So, how did it go? This ofcourse refers to the date I had on Saturday (see I have a date on Saturday). Yeah, it seems that when I’ve got news I have a need to tell everyone, probably why partly I write this blog.

I arrived to his for the date early and I now know his secret of how he looks so good. The amount of creams he puts on his face, I must get some of them. Delicious food (especially the carot cake), good company and wine. What more could a boy ask for?

After dinner we went for a few drinks and met some of his friends, they were lovely. We bumped in to one of his sort-of-ex’s. Don’t ask, it’s complicated. They spoke briefly and that was that. On the way home I did ask my date (who still remains nameless) if he still had a thing for this sort-of-ex. I was asking this question for two reasons, one to better understand their relationship and his feelings about it and two to establish if he was still hung up on him.

He’d had a few drinks, but was by no means plastered and he turned to me and said
“He is attractive. He is in the sex box. But you are attractive too and have an amazing personality and soo much more…” This was a big confidence boost, although not asked for. I wasn’t asking what he thought of me but nonetheless he told me.

It must have gone well because we’ve been texting about setting up another date. I’m secretly excited, but if you tell anyone you may have to be killed. Don’t know what we’ll do yet, probably the cinemas. I haven’t forgotton about my weekly X Factor post, shall do it and hopefully have it published before next Saturday.

Am going watching Pink on Sunday, so shall post the photos after.

Blog soon,

Antony

A Magickal Grand Plan

By Happiness & Joy, Inspiration, Paganism2 Comments
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Magick (spelt deliberately with a “K” on the end to distinguish between real magick and the entertainers magic) is about more than ritual, casting spells and making potions and brews in the cauldron.

Magick can be done in many creative ways. So I decided to come up with a Grand Plan for the next 5 years of my life. How do I weave the magick in to it? With colour and symbolism through a collage. See below:

My plans are stuck on the fridge so everyday I will see them. Everytime I see them they will go deeper in to my subconcious (until they are imprinted there) and my subconcious will gather the energy required on the astral plane to meet all of my plans in the next five years.

Why don’t you try it?

What I’ve learned about magick is that after a while it just sorta happens. I find myself doing less spells, potions and brews and simply wishing and it happening. In Edain McCoy’s book Advanced Witchcraft: Go Deeper, Reach Further, Fly Higher it calls this Wishcraft. (There’s loads of more interesting reading in this book – so if your pagan I would highly recommend it.) Although I am still learning with regards to the craft (and most definitately always will be), I recognise how far I’ve come.

With thanks to my muse – who inspired me to express my grand plan in such a creative and fun way.

In love and light,

Teeth

By Happiness & Joy, Health, LifeNo Comments
Reading Time: < 1 minute

I recently blogged (see I’m so vain) about wanting to have my teeth whitened. It is something I have been self concious of for years. My teeth have really strong roots (when I had to have some removed for my brace the dentist was well impressed) and I’ve never had a filling. However they are cosmetically discoloured. So I went to a Style Smile Clinic. Here are the results:

Before

After

They look a lot better. Especially in low light. However they did cost more than advertised as the dentist recommended the stronger treatment. Part of my teeth are one shade and part of my teeth are another apparently which is why they are not completely white. I also have some after care stuff to keep them white for longer and make them lighter.

Blog soon,

The Move

By Happiness & Joy, Home, Life2 Comments
Reading Time: 3 minutes

Hi All,

I’m back! The move to the new apartment (see Things are changing…) was on Friday 24th April 09, which coinsided with the evening I was going to see Girls Aloud. I got the keys at half two in the afternoon and soon after had to leave my lovely new place to go to David’s to get ready for Girls Aloud. I will be sharng some Girls Aloud photos from the gig in a blog post soon.

I was lucky to have a full week off work to move and nip to IKEA. Mum came with me to Ikea, all I have to say is: NEVER buy Ikea furniture. It never goes together exactually as it’s suppose too. When you have finally managed to build the piece of furniture (usually after many choice words directed at the inatimate object), you always have left over screws.

I managed to blag David in to building the bookshelf with me. It was suppose to be a bit of fun but was actually quite a stress for us both. He decided to let me build a lovely antique style desk (which I shall be using to do some creative writing – hopefully in the near future). After much stress (and again choice words directed at the inatimate desk) I have managed to build it.

So I think it’s time you saw some pictures? Ok, here you go:

Hall

Living Room & Kitchen

Office & Guest Bedroom
(Also known as ‘the junk room’)

Master Bathroom

Master Bedroom & Ensuite

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my family and friends who have sent cards (and in some cases gifts). You shall all be invited to the house warming, err, when I organise one. (June sounds like a good month.)

I think that’s a good substantial first post-move post.

Coming soon, see photos from the Girls Aloud gig, hear about the dreaded BT (and discover exactually HOW I’m online), laugh at the scape goat, find out what I got up to on my birthday (23 now! I think…), see photos of some of my birthday gifts, find out how domesticated I am (or not as the case may be), find out about The Cabinet!, what happened when David and I adventured on our week off, and sooo much more!

I’m back world, look out!

Antony
