I grew up in the gay culture where they Pet Shop Boys classic songs such as:

Well now they’ve realised a new album Yes (by Petshop Boys) at Amazon. This new song, to me is a grower:

I need to hear a few more tracks before I consider purchasing it. The reason they where played in the gay pubs and clubs is because the band members are gay and the fact that the songs are catchy!

Does anyone know where I can hear more tracks from the album before I buy?

Blog about more music soon,

Charity begins at home?

By Music & Radio, RantsOne Comment

Radio 1 has done my head in this week! To the point were I have actually turned it off. I have felt bombarded in my own car!

Chris Moyles and some other celebs have been climbing Mount. Kilimanjaro for Comic relief and all I’ve heard all week is donate, donate, donate. Calls from the Dj’s inbetween each song, countless adds for it (I mean the BBC is suppose to be an add free service – that’s why we pay our TV licences).

Now there’s two things here:
1. Repeatly been asked to donate (that has triggered this rant)
2. Charity begins at home.

1st – I don’t mind being asked once, twice or even daily. But what seems like 100’s of times in a day? Come on.

2nd – To me charity begins at home. I am broke as are many of my family and friends due to the credit crunch and we are in debt. In fact some of my friend’s are struggling to eat well and also struggling to pay the bills to keep the roof over their heads. So if I had any free cash to give to charity – I would much rather give it to my family or friends to support them in this difficult time.

Is this right? Do you think Charity begins at home?

Take heed Radio 1 you will loose listeners repeatly bombarding us with charity appeals. And I for one will not be tunning in again until comic relief is over.

Rant Over,

Antony

Dear Madonna*

By Life, Money / Finances, Music & Radio, ThinkingNo Comments

I am in conflict which you are at the very centre of. You see as a gay man I am suppose to worship you. I am suppose to love you and your music. I want to come to see you at your up-coming tour. Indeed you are giving me the opportunity by playing at the MEN arena. I want to be there. I want to be front centre stage and for you to give me the opportunity to kiss your black knee high boot.

I don’t know if your aware but there is a credit cruch here in the UK? This basically means we are all broke. And yet you choose to charge £175-£75 per ticket. Now, I know you need to make a diva living. But do you really need to make this much hard-cold-cash out of us? I mean there are thousands of seats (I was unable to establish exactually how many), so you do the math.

So there’s the conflict. You verus your greed. So I am sorry my worshipable Madonna, but I shall not be coming to kiss your boot.
