What I’d do if I won the euro millions

By Thinking3 Comments

The euro millions is appoximately £85m this coming Friday, according to the National Lottery website. Of course, I will be buying a ticket or two (that goes with out saying really). I know the odds are like billions to one. But it’s the hope of winning that makes you play, isn’t it? The dream of winning…and what you’d do with the cash.

So it got me thinking, what would I do with the money if I won? Well…here’s some ideas.

£7, 650, 000, 000 To charity (10% of my winnings, if I was the sole winner of the jack pot). I think I would donate a considerable sum to organisations working on a cure for Type 1 diabetes, as it is a condition I live with (and sometimes suffer with). Therefore it is a cause close to my heart.

£10, 000, 000 To set up a charity and run the charity to help young people as well as people on the edge of society to achieve their aspirations. I have worked hard, like most people to get where they are. But then I have had a lot of support, that not all people have. A proportion of the interest recieved from saving a certain amount in a high interest savings account (see below) each year would go in to this charity to continously fund it and the good work it would do.

£3, 000, 000 To Family and friends. I would want to help them out financially and make them more comfortable.

£175, 000 To pay off my mortage on my apartment (see The Move) any debts and to travel.

£60, 000, 000 In a high interest savings account (as suggested by my step dad Dean), so that I could live off the interest and pay some of the interest in to the charity.

Ha ha and I’d have to think about the rest! What would you do?

Facebook = Too Much Information

By Life, Love & Relationships, The Web4 Comments

Sometimes people post things on facebook that I’d rather not know. 🙁

Facebook = TMI (too much info.).

A friend of mine, whom I’ve always liked has just posted pictures of his new apartment with his boyfriend. Sigh.

He just doesn’t see how I feel about him or perhaps he doesn’t feel the same. Sigh. Why can’t he see how cool I am (ok, I know I just lost cool points for saying I was cool lol).

Ah well, I guess all I can do is wish him well.

Love and hugs,

The Undomestic God(dess)

By HomeNo Comments

I am like Samantha in The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella, I am not a domestic goddess. So I was most impressed with myself when I got possessed the other Sunday and cleaned out the junk room.

The bed was still in it’s plastic covering with half unpacked boxes piled high on it. I emptied the boxes, made the bed and finally cleaned the entire apartment. Here’s a pic of the forma junk room, now guest bedroom:

Friends are welcome to text or call and stay any time. You are promised a warm welcome, in a homely feel apartment.

Time to get myself a Faghag?

By Friends & Family, GayNo Comments

Out of know were, whilst I am consentrating on the computer screen someone asks: “Antony, do you have a faghag?”
“No”
“Can I be yours?”
“Well…you’ll have to apply and I am expecting many applicants.” I answer.
“Ok.”

This was how the conversation played out that made me decide it was about time that some of my friends were recognised with Faghag status. So what is a faghag?

Faghag – A close female friend to a gay man. A huge complement to be called such as close friend with both parties feeling safe as the boundaries of the non sexual relationship are clear. Both the gay and the faghag are simliar in personality, have simliar interests and are ‘there’ to support their friend when they are needed.

A note to the politically correct people of the world…
I would like to address those politically correct people that there seem to be more of these days. The historic meaning of ‘faghag’ it was mean’t as an insult, fag refering to faggot and hag meaning an ugly woman. However I grew up in a culture were being called a ‘faghag’ was a huge complement. So please see the definition of ‘faghag’ above and read the whole article before emailing me. Thanks.
