It’s all in their hands

Hello Readers!

I am fustrated today as everything in relation to the apartment is in their hands. So who’s them? The house builder, the financial advisor, the bank, etc.

There is nothing more I can do at present and no way to speed the process up. I want to move as ASAP (see Not a Happy), but it looks as if there are going to be a few delays. This is why I am sooo fustrated. I guess I’ll get there, just things aren’t as straight forward as I thought they’d be.

On a positive note on Monday my Mum, Sandra (offical title my Step Nan) and I went watching Tina Turner (photos and a few clips to come soon promise).

With regards to David, he has adjusted to the inital shock that I as he puts it will soon “be a home owner”. I tell him off when he says this – I sometimes don’t feel grown-up enough to own my own home. Besides which the bank will technically own it for the first 35 years, so it will just be like renting (apart from I get to keep the place when I’m old(er)).

I’ll keep you all updated and promise to get the Tina Turner stuff online when I get a spare second.

Things are changing…

…and it’s all good!

I know I have started to feel stuck in a rutt. So I decided to get myself out of it!

I went to an apartment block to see if their were apartments to rent but soon discovered on entering the sales office that there weren’t. But with the encouragement of a work colleague (and friend) we viewed two apartments. The second I loved!

So yes, I’ve decided to buy. If I can. I have reserved it and am meeting with a Financial Advisor (who’m I have already been in communication with) and we are going to put an application in. So I don’t want to give any further details at present or supply photos, until I’m certain.

But if all goes well, I could be moving out of this house-share in 6 weeks or less! Yippee!

I would like to thank my family, friends and work colleagues who have had loads of open and honest conversations with me. You have been a invaluable source of support – allowing me to use you as sounding boards. However special thanks must go to (in no particular order): Simon, Mum & David. They have been fantastic! Thank you.

Dear Madonna*

I am in conflict which you are at the very centre of. You see as a gay man I am suppose to worship you. I am suppose to love you and your music. I want to come to see you at your up-coming tour. Indeed you are giving me the opportunity by playing at the MEN arena. I want to be there. I want to be front centre stage and for you to give me the opportunity to kiss your black knee high boot.

I don’t know if your aware but there is a credit cruch here in the UK? This basically means we are all broke. And yet you choose to charge £175-£75 per ticket. Now, I know you need to make a diva living. But do you really need to make this much hard-cold-cash out of us? I mean there are thousands of seats (I was unable to establish exactually how many), so you do the math.

So there’s the conflict. You verus your greed. So I am sorry my worshipable Madonna, but I shall not be coming to kiss your boot.

Goals for 2009

We all have goals don’t we?

Well here’s mine, for 2009 (owe it rhymes):

  • Health – To Improve my blood sugar control, eat better & be generally healthy.
  • Financial – To pay off debts (one from last year I didn’t actually manage to do).
  • Work – To complete work-related qualification & continue my professional development.
  • Home – To put together a dream home book and start working towards it
  • Adventures – To go to Italy for two weeks and explore the culture, places and people that inhabit this land.
  • Creative – To do some more candle making (see A Visit to Simon’s) and some creative writing.
  • Be There – To continue to be there for family & friends who I am very lucky to have.

    Amazon have got this interesting site for New Years Resolutions. Have a look it has show good products on offer.
