A Sad Truth

By Gay, ThinkingNo Comments

The sad truth is that homophobia still exists in the world today. Some people still believe that it is a heterosexual world and that being gay is wrong and worthy of a beating. For some reason it’s usually heterosexual men that are the perpetrators towards gay men. See this video:

Now before you strug this off as American, do you remember the case of a gay teenager Michael Causer in Liverpool (a city close to were I live)? He got murdered on his way home.

Homophobia is alive in every country of the world, and we should not forget it.

My SERIOUS list for the Future

By Thinking3 Comments

Dear Future,

This is my serious list of things I’d like to see happen when you arrive:

  • A cure for cancer, diabetes and other debilitating illnesses & diseases
  • People to care more, to realise in the inter-web of life we are all connected
  • People to work less, focusing their time on living a happy life
  • People to work together rather than against one another
  • People to be emotionally open and honest with themselves and others
  • People to take more responsibility for their actions
  • People realising that no matter how much you discuss (or push-my-religion-down-your-throat) it doesn’t work
  • Politicians and the like to drop the politics and work for the people who elected them
  • For money to become less important
  • For true equality
  • For education to be freely available for all
  • For society to have less regulation & rules as these seem to create barriers and would lead to a freer society
  • The ARTS (music, film, writing, media, sculpting, in fact anything creative) being respected and valued

Anything you’d add? I’m sure there’s plenty I’ve left out.

Take Care,

Antony

My list for the Future

By Thinking3 Comments

Dear Future,

Here is a list of things I’d like you to bring (in no particular order):

  • A machine that washes, drys and irons clothes
  • A self cleaning toilet
  • A Windows operating system that doesn’t crash
  • A charge-as-you-use laptop
  • A phone that finds you if you loose it
  • A phone that is “drop proof”
  • A phone that makes anyone (particularly me) sound sexy
  • A robot with OCD that picks up things after you
  • A robot that can fix practically any household appliance
  • A DIY robot for gay men (sterotypical, I know, lol, but honest)
  • A robot that can do all of the above
  • Naked glasses – so I can perve
  • An animal translator
  • An idea’s machine
  • A tablet for just about anything

Anything you’d like to see? Leave a comment.

Goodbye M

By Friends & Family, Life, ThinkingNo Comments

Dear M,

I felt shocked when I was told you had left us.
I feel sorry that I didn’t have a chance to say “Goodbye”

I knew you had it, the cancer.
But I knew you had battled it before and won.
Others closer to you, knew it was terminal.
But I did not. Or did I not want too?

My heart felt sympathy goes out to all those who loved you,
your husband, children, friends and work colleagues.
You enriched our lives with your humour and your motherly care.

I feel guilty for having such a good weekend on the one you left.
I have to remind myself that your gone and not coming back.
It still doesn’t feel real.

Goodbye M, Safe Journey.
