My BBC Radio 5 Live Interview: Young People, Alcohol and A&E Attendances

Hi all,

I’ve recently been interviewed by Victoria Derbyshire on BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast, around young people attending A&E with an alcohol-related attendance. Here’s the interview, edited down from the two hour programme which is available on the iPlayer:

I’ve also got a soundbite on a BBC webpage: Alcohol outreach workers: “Young people drink for the same reasons adults do”. This was within my work role as a Young People’s Alcohol Liaison Nurse.

A Touching Story: “Oh sweet Lorraine” by Fred Stobaugh

Green Show Studio (in USA) ran an online competition for singers and songwriters to submit their music videos. But when they got a letter from Fred Stobaugh, a 96-year-old man who’d written a song about his recently deceased wife, they had to do something with it.

Here’s a touching video that tells the story:

They had Fred’s song professionally recorded (both music and lyrics) and released it on iTunes. A lovely story.
