Wow what an achievement nine years, well done. You both sound happy together which is always good to hear.

It sounds like you have all the principles of a good relationship: trust, communication, your individuality and independance and your rituals together.

I have read your blog on and off from time to time and actually recently forgot about it, apologies for which but there's been a lot of upheval in my life recently. I'll have to pop over and put it back in my faviourates.

Hugs and thanks for the comment,

'Horses for courses'.

We're all different and some relationships are founded on fetish or dominance/subservience. Given that these guys seem to love each other just as much as you or I love our Partners/Lovers then that's fine.

Pete and I met nine years ago and became Civil Partners when we moved into this house nearly 3 years ago.

We have our own interests but have also found several things we can enjoy doing together. We met through the internet (how many warn against that?!), we played together, got on so well we spent all our weekends together.

After several months we got a bit closer and within the year we were meeting each other's family and friends as we settled into being lovers and friends. It grew from there really and now we've committed to each other because neither of us wants to stray.

Doesn't mean we don't play (mostly together) but we're scrupulously honest about asking 'permission' and sharing as much as possible. What we have together is worth more than any quick fuck could ever be.

Like I said - you can pay your money and take your choice!
